Enyimba Midfielder Akanni Elijah Sets Sights on Victory Against Bendel Insurance

Enyimba midfielder, Akanni Elijah, has rallied his teammates to give their all for a win against Bendel Insurance, as The People’s Elephant prepare to host the Benin Arsenals in a rescheduled matchday nine fixture at the Enyimba Stadium on Wednesday.

With just three wins in seven games, Enyimba has had a sluggish start to their Nigeria Premier Football League season and currently sits at the 16th position on the NPFL table with 10 points.

Expressing his optimism, Elijah wrote on his X handle, “Victory we pray for father, let’s go all out for victory Boys.”

In the previous season’s fixture, Enyimba was held to a 1-1 draw, with Chukwuemeka Obioma putting the host ahead from the spot before Imade Osarenkhoe equalised in the 81st minute of the encounter in Aba.
