Lawmaker Plans to Facilitate Marriage for 100 Orphans in Kebbi

A federal legislator, Sani Yakubu Noma, has announced his intention to facilitate the marriage of 100 orphaned young women in Kebbi State, as part of his Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, reports Daily Trust.

Representing the Argungu/Augie Federal Constituency of Kebbi State in the House of Representatives, Noma revealed his plans during an interaction with journalists in his hometown in the Argungu area of the State. He emphasized that the marriage initiative is aimed at positively impacting the lives of orphans within his constituency.

Noma disclosed that the marriage ceremony is scheduled to take place at the esteemed Palace of the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammad Mera, on Saturday.

He stated, “A dedicated committee has been established to ensure the seamless execution of the event. The prospective brides have been identified from the two local government areas under my representation at the National Assembly.”

“I have already procured beds, mattresses, essential furniture and other matrimonial commodities for the beneficiaries,” he added.
