Nigerian Ministry of Information and Solid Minerals Ministry Join Forces to Promote Sector Reforms

The Ministry of Information in Nigeria has announced its partnership with the Ministry of Solid Minerals to raise awareness about the ongoing reforms in the sector.

During a courtesy visit to the Minister of Solid Minerals, Dr. Oladele Alake, in Abuja, the nation’s capital, Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information, highlighted the importance of collaborating to shed light on this critical sector.

Expressing his commitment, Mr. Idris emphasised the shared goal of diversifying the economy through a revitalised mining sector, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s vision.

Idris lauded Alake’s leadership and the progress made in bringing solid minerals to the forefront of national attention. He praised Alake’s determination and capability in transforming the Ministry of Solid Minerals, acknowledging the increased visibility and envy garnered by the ministry due to its significant strides.

The Minister of Information acknowledged the global interest ignited by Dr. Oladele Alake’s tenure and the impact on the mining sector.

In response, Dr. Alake hailed Mohammed Idris as a valuable partner in the government’s mission to position solid minerals as a key contributor to the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Reflecting on their past collaboration during the government’s inception, Dr. Alake commended Idris’ abilities and expressed confidence in his capacity to achieve the government’s objectives.

Emphasising the government’s commitment to establishing a benchmark of progressive governance, Dr. Alake expressed gratitude for the Minister of Information’s role in bringing solid minerals to the public’s attention.
