VP Shettima Attends 37th Annual Akesan Festival in Ogun State

Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Iperu Remo, Ogun State, for the 37th Annual Akesan Festival.

The vice president, who is the special guest of honour at the event, was on Saturday, 25 November 2023, accompanied by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Tajudeen Abbas; the Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, and Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, among others.

On hand to receive the vice president were the Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, Senator Solomon Adeola (Yayi), former Speaker Rt Hon. Dimeji Bankole, some members of the Ogun State Executive Council, and several others.

Upon arrival, Vice President Shettima was accompanied by the Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun on a tour of the Gateway International Agro Cargo Airport in Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State.

The VP, thereafter, arrived at the venue for the festival where he delivered a powerful speech, emphasizing unity, peace, and progress in Nigeria.

His words resonated with the spirit of the festival, fostering a sense of togetherness and hope for the future.
