CAN Calls for Swift Action Following Taraba Killings

The recent killings in the Yangtu Development Area of Taraba State have sparked outrage, prompting the Taraba State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to demand immediate intervention from the government and intelligence agencies in bringing the perpetrators to justice.

The call for action comes in the wake of the brutal attack on farmers by suspected Fulani bandits. In a statement released on Sunday, CAN’s state chairman, Rev. Dr. Isaiah Magaji Jirapye, personally condemned the “inhuman and dastardly acts” and urged authorities to leave no stone unturned in ensuring the perpetrators are apprehended and brought to justice.

Emphasizing the urgency of a thorough investigation, CAN stressed the need to identify and hold accountable those responsible for the heinous attacks. Furthermore, the association called for calm in the affected communities while urging residents to cooperate with security agencies by providing relevant information that could aid in the swift apprehension of the culprits.
