Kano Traders Association Denies Planning Protest over Appeal Court Judgment

The Kano State Traders Association has adamantly dismissed speculations of orchestrating protests in response to the recent appeal court judgment that sacked Governor Abba Yusuf. In a statement issued by the association’s secretary, Usman Nagoda, the members were urged not to participate in any form of protest at the state’s markets.

Nagoda emphasised the imprudence of engaging in protests that defy legal constraints, affirming that no prudent trader would partake in such activities. He stated, “Protests only breed violence and jeopardize lives and property. Therefore, we disassociate ourselves from any purported plans to protest against the Appeal Court verdict.” NAN
