The Osun State Government has reasserted that Governor Ademola Adeleke adequately informed the citizens about his upcoming working vacation to Europe and Asia.

Emphasizing that this would be the first time Governor Adeleke takes a break since assuming office, the government is keen on addressing the circulating reports allegedly originating from the office of the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Adeleke on New Media.

In a statement signed by Olalekan Badmus, Special Assistant (New Media) to Governor Adeleke, the government debunked the information making the rounds as false, attributing it to mischief makers.

Badmus clarified that the governor had instructed the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, to brief the media on the administration’s one-year landmark achievements on Monday, November 27.

He also conveyed Governor Adeleke’s decision to refrain from celebrating the one-year anniversary in office, aiming to conserve state resources and align with the populace’s current challenges.

Previously, the Osun APC had accused Governor Adeleke of misleading the public about his whereabouts, alleging his holidaying in the United States of America for the past two weeks.

Transparency is a crucial element in governance, and Governor Adeleke’s decision to communicate his vacation plans demonstrates accountability to the citizens of Osun State.
