NNPP Willing to Form Alliance with APC, Says Kano Rep. Jibrin

Abdulmumin Jibrin, the House of Representatives member representing Kiru and Bebeji Federal Constituency, has revealed that the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) is prepared to forge an alliance with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political entities.

Speaking while hosting over 1,000 Islamic clerics who offered special prayers for the success of Governor Kabir Yusuf of Kano State at the Supreme Court, Mr. Jibrin expressed the NNPP’s openness to collaboration, alliance, and merger with the APC, PDP, LP, or any other interested party, all in the interest of the Nigerian populace.

Furthermore, he pledged to utilize his political network to engage key players in Kano politics, with the aim of resolving outstanding issues and reducing the current tension in the state stemming from the Kano governorship seat.

Mr. Jibrin affirmed his commitment to supporting and fostering a harmonious relationship between Messrs Tinubu and Kwankwaso, with the latter being his mentor.

A statement by the lawmaker’s media aide, Sani Paki, indicated that special prayers were also offered for President Bola Tinubu and the NNPP National Leader, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso.

During the prayer session, the clerics recited the Holy Qur’an 1,101 times, beseeching for peace, progress, and political stability in the country, as highlighted in the statement.

In his brief address at the event, Mr. Kofa emphasized that his relationship with Mr. Tinubu is no secret.

Subsequently, following the prayer session, the legislator hosted 5,000 primary school children across his constituency and bestowed them with school kits, a gesture he routinely undertakes.

Mr. Kofa reassured the pupils regarding the federal and state governments’ beneficial plans, particularly in the areas of free education and school feeding programmes, as per the statement.
