Alleged Culprit Denies Involvement in Rivers DPO’s Murder

David Gift Okpala Okpolowu, also known as 2Baba, the man wanted for allegedly being involved in the murder of Ahoada Division DPO, Bako Angbashim, has broken his silence from hiding, refuting any connection to the DPO’s tragic demise.

2Baba, using a voice note sent to the media in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, expressed his shock at the news of the DPO’s murder, vehemently denying any part in the incident.

The killing of Angbashim by cultists, who have been wreaking havoc in Rivers State’s Ahoada East Local Government Area, resulted in his severed corpse being seized during their operation.

In response to this heinous act, the state’s governor, Siminalayi Fubara, placed a N100 million bounty on the perpetrator.

Contrary to the allegations, 2Baba revealed in the voice note that he had spoken to Angbashim just hours before the unfortunate event, emphasizing his shock and denial of involvement in the murder.

He stated, “I want to tell the whole world that my hand is not in the murder of the DPO. All this while, I never wanted to talk about this, but people were very concerned, so I said let me tell my people the truth.

“I am not involved in the murder. It is just that the thing happened in my community road. The day it happened, I was not there. I was shocked when I heard what happened.”
