Tinubu Notifies Senate of 2024 Budget Presentation

President Bola Tinubu has officially informed the Senate of his plan to present the 2024 Appropriation Bill to a joint session of the National Assembly on Wednesday, November 29 at 11 am.

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, disclosed President Tinubu’s letter of intent during the plenary session on Tuesday, November 28.

According to reports from Media Talk Africa, the Federal Executive Council meeting on Monday endorsed the N27.5 trillion 2024 Appropriation Bill.

Atiku Bagudu, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, clarified that the budget figure was revised from N26 trillion to N27.5 trillion due to changes in the foreign exchange rate.

Constitutionally mandated, President Tinubu is anticipated to present the 2024 appropriation bill before the National Assembly.
