A 20-year-old girl in Owerri, Imo State, faced a terrifying experience after being tricked by someone pretending to be her friend on WhatsApp. She was asked to meet but instead encountered three men who threatened her. They had gotten her info after stealing her friend’s phone.

The girl was forced into a room where the men, named Cedar, Obinna, and Divine, r*ped her. Despite her pleading and explaining she was on her period, they didn’t stop. They r*ped her all night while taking drugs.

She bravely told a friend who helped catch two men, but shocking news followed. The police allegedly released one suspect, claiming he escaped. It can be recalled that in October 2023, the escaped suspect had a similar sexual assault case, and he was not charged in Court. The police bullied his October victim to give up on her case because they wanted to take a bribe and set the r*pist free.
