Ekiti Commissioner Urges Drivers and Okada Riders to Avoid Electoral Violence for Upcoming LG Polls

In a bid to maintain peace before, during, and after the upcoming local government elections, the Ekiti State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Kehinde Ajobiewe, has urged commercial drivers and okada riders in the state to steer clear of any actions that could disrupt the peace.

The commissioner emphasized this during a meeting with stakeholders in the transportation sector in Ado Ekiti, underscoring the zero tolerance of the Governor Abiodun Oyebanji administration for any activity that could jeopardize the state’s peace. He stressed that meaningful development can only be attained in an environment of tranquility.

Ajobiewe urged public transporters and other eligible voters to actively engage in performing their civic duties during the elections, emphasizing the importance of their participation in the electoral process for the advancement of the state.
