Big Brother Naija Season 6 winner, Whitemoney, has expressed his disappointment at the financial rewards from his venture into the music industry, revealing that he is yet to reap the benefits he expected.
In a recent interview with BBC Igbo, the reality star bared his thoughts on the challenges he has encountered in his music career, particularly highlighting the limited gains from music streaming platforms.
According to Whitemoney, despite not possessing what some may consider a ‘fine’ voice, he remains resolute in his commitment to creating content that is both meaningful and authentic, rather than conforming to conventional industry standards.
“The truth is singing has not started paying me because I don’t get money from streaming, but I get money from performances. I don’t have the best voice but I have a message and melody.
“People criticise me, even those paid to criticise me. What you need to know is that I don’t sing to make you feel fine because you don’t feed or fund my musical career,” Whitemoney candidly stated.
