Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Commends Abdul-Azeez Suleiman’s Appointment as Northern Elders’ Forum Spokesman

The apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, has expressed its approval of the recent appointment of Abdul-Azeez Suleiman as the spokesperson of the Northern Elders’ Forum.

Professor Ango Abdullahi, the convener of the NEF, personally penned a letter notifying Suleiman of his new role within the influential Northern group.

Abdul-Azeez Suleiman’s dedication and contributions to advancing and safeguarding the interests of the North and Nigeria as a whole during his tenure with the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) were cited as the basis for his appointment.

In a statement released on Thursday, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, the National President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, lauded Suleiman’s appointment as well-deserved.

Okwu highlighted Suleiman’s tenure as the spokesperson of the Coalition of Northern Groups, emphasizing his ability to advocate for and defend the collective interests of the North while also working towards national unity.

“We extend our warm congratulations to our colleague, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, on his thoroughly merited appointment as the spokesperson of the Northern Elders’ Forum. The NEF could not have made a better choice,” Okwu remarked.

He continued, “This is due to Abdul-Azeez Suleiman’s aptitude for building bridges, his unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s unity, and his dedication to advancing Northern interests.

“He approaches matters with bravery, honesty, objectivity, and selflessness. Undoubtedly, he is the right individual to articulate the perspectives of the influential Northern group.

“We have collaborated with him in the past and look forward to maintaining a strong partnership with him and the entire NEF for the betterment of the country,” Okwu stated.
