Disturbing reports have emerged that three students were shot at Lifecamp Government Secondary School, located in the heart of Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

According to sources, the students fell victim to armed assailants who invaded the school premises, instigating yet another harrowing episode of violence in the educational institution.

An informant, speaking on the condition of anonymity, revealed that the distressing incident unfolded on a Thursday, sending shockwaves through the school community and beyond.

Notably, this alarming occurrence transpired a mere 500 meters away from the official residence of the Honourable Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike.

Expressing deep concern, the source lamented the recurring nature of gun-related violence within the school environment, implicating the safety of students and the troubling lack of effective intervention.

Quoting the source, “The egregious actions of these young perpetrators have unfortunately become a seemingly annual occurrence, leaving three innocent students with gunshot wounds, and the belated arrival of law enforcement adds to the distress.”

“It is disheartening that such incidents continue to plague Lifecamp Government Secondary School, nestled directly opposite Lifecamp Police Station, and in close proximity to the FCT Minister’s residence. This remains a distressing repetition of previous events, highlighting a disconcerting pattern of regularity,” the source added.

As at the time of compiling this report, there was no response from the spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh, despite attempts to solicit official comments on the distressing episode.
