Kai Havertz Commends Arsenal Teammates Amid EPL Title Race

In a recent discussion, Arsenal’s Kai Havertz commended four team members, emphasizing that it is premature to make proclamations about the Premier League title race at this stage. The players he lauded include Declan Rice, William Saliba, Gabriel Jesus, and Bukayo Saka.

Arsenal currently leads the Premier League table, surpassing Manchester City and Liverpool. Notwithstanding, the Gunners narrowly missed out on the title to Manchester City in the previous season.

Expressing his views on this season’s Premier League title race, Havertz, in an interview with Football Daily, remarked, “It is really too early to say something about this. Anyone can beat anyone. We really don’t know what is happening, maybe we will in a couple of months.” He further added, “Right now we are focusing on ourselves and trying to win as many games as possible.”

Delving into his appreciation for his teammates, Havertz stated, “I knew him [Declan Rice] before I joined Arsenal in June. We were messaging before we came. He’s a great person, a really good guy and on the pitch as well he is showing what he can do and help the team. He is a very important player for us at the moment.”

Regarding Bukayo Saka, Havertz expressed, “I’m so impressed with [Bukayo Saka]. I knew he was a top, top player. He has both his feet on the ground.”

Adding to the commendation, Havertz said of William Saliba, “Same as the other two guys. As a defender, he is so, so good. He makes everything so easy and so calm. He is still so young. He’s going to have a big career in front of him.”

Of Gabriel Jesus, he concluded, “He is the best [striker I have played with]. I see it in every training session. It is an honour to play with him. You see his quality on the pitch, he is amazing, he is one of those players who can turn a game around by himself.”

It’s evident from Havertz’s remarks that these players have made a significant impression on him, not only with their on-field skills but also with their commendable personal attributes. This bodes well for Arsenal as they continue their campaign in the Premier League. Time will tell if they can maintain their current form and vie for the coveted title.
