In a resolute statement, Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has affirmed his administration’s unwavering dedication to ensuring the security and protection of the lives and property of the state’s residents.
The governor, speaking in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday, emphasized the continued collaboration between his government, the Nigerian Army, and other security agencies to safeguard the well-being of the people.
Governor Oyebanji expressed his gratitude to the Nigerian Army for their tireless efforts and acknowledged their crucial role in upholding law and order in the country.
Addressing the pivotal role of the military, the governor stated, “I don’t know what would have become of this country if we don’t have dedicated men in the Nigerian Army combating insurgencies upfront. I must appreciate the army and the sister security agencies for still being what they are despite all the challenges in the country. We are extremely grateful.”
He went on to emphasize the importance of security in driving development, stating, “Once a state or society is secured, development will come. Investors don’t go to troubled zones, so it is in our interest to ensure that we keep this state secured.”
