Faze Reveals: “I’ve Never Drank, Smoked, or Used Drugs,” Credits Healthy Lifestyle for Longevity

Renowned Nigerian singer and former Plantashun Boiz member, Chibuzor Oji, popularly known as Faze, recently disclosed that he has abstained from alcohol, smoking, and illicit substance usage throughout his life. In an exclusive interview with TVC, the 46-year-old attributed the longevity of his singing voice and overall physical well-being to his commitment to a healthy lifestyle.

“I don’t do anything special to maintain my voice. I think it has to do with my lifestyle. I don’t take drugs, and I’ve never drank alcohol or smoked in my life,” expressed Faze. “It has to do with health too. I’m the kind of person that likes to check up on my health.”

Emphasizing the significance of hydration in his routine, Faze highlighted, “I drink a lot of water to stay healthy.”

In a candid revelation, the ‘Kolomental’ maestro also touched upon the current music landscape, noting a shift towards prioritizing beats over substantive lyrical content. “Artists no longer care about good lyrics because the fans just want to dance,” remarked Faze during the interview.

Faze’s commitment to a clean and healthy lifestyle serves as a testament to the potential benefits of such choices in sustaining long-term well-being and vocal longevity. His steadfast refusal to succumb to societal pressures involving substance use and his dedication to holistic wellness reflect a rare commitment in an industry often characterized by excesses.

Faze’s story is a powerful reminder of the enduring value of prioritizing health and discipline in an industry frequently synonymous with indulgence and recklessness. His distinctive journey exemplifies the potential for artists to thrive and resonate with audiences through substance-free authenticity and a steadfast focus on well-being.
