This unfortunate development transpired after the schools fell victim to armed robberies, during which two principals were callously shot by the perpetrators. Gade articulated, “All government institutions and facilities in Gqeberha are under siege. We are resolutely apprising the community and parents of this affront, as it imperils the hard-earned progress achieved to date. Hence, we implore the people of Gqeberha to proactively engage and collaborate with law enforcement agencies in fortifying government facilities across the metro, including our schools.”
