Katsina United chief to take action against technical crew over NPFL sanction

Katsina United Officials Face Sanctions After Dressing Code Violation

Katsina United has found itself in hot water after the Nigeria Premier Football League imposed a hefty N1m fine on the club due to a breach of the dressing code in their match against Sporting Lagos during fixture 11. The club’s chairman, Prince Abdulssamad Badamasi, has expressed strong disapproval of what he characterized as unprofessional behavior and has pledged to take decisive action against those responsible.

It has been revealed that the technical crew and the team’s kits manager were fully aware of the league’s dressing code but proceeded to disregard it. This disregard has prompted Prince Abdulssamad to take a firm stance, emphasizing the potential damage such actions could inflict on the reputation of the club and the sports community in Katsina State.

In response to the incident, Prince Abdulssamad has announced plans to hold the technical crew and the suspended kits manager accountable for the fine imposed by the league. Moreover, in a further punitive measure, the kits manager, Masudu Lawal, has been handed a one-year ban from all NPFL activities due to his improper conduct.

This development serves as a stark reminder of the importance of upholding professional standards within Nigerian football, and Katsina United is now facing the consequences of failing to adhere to these regulations.

The club’s leadership has made it clear that such lapses in judgment will not be tolerated, signaling a commitment to upholding the integrity and reputation of Katsina United in the Nigerian football landscape.
