The Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS), Mr. Haruna Abdullahi, has been bestowed with the prestigious Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Public Sector Advocacy Award in Nigeria. He stands as the sole Nigerian luminary among the select global winners of this esteemed accolade.
According to a communiqué endorsed by Mustapha Sumaila, the Head of Corporate Communication at FCT-IRS, the global professional body, ACCA, articulated that these awards serve to laud members who have fervently championed for ACCA and the accountancy sphere, effecting notable change within their spheres of influence and wider communities.
In a statement featured in Ab Magazine, a publication of ACCA Global, the association underscored that the awardees have not only excelled in advocating for ACCA but have also made substantive contributions in mentoring the next generation of professionals.
Singling out Haruna Yarima Abdullahi, the Executive Chairman of Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service, the ACCA revealed that he clinched the award in recognition of his unwavering efforts in fortifying the brand’s presence in Nigeria.
