Napoli Manager Admits: Victor Osimhen Yet to Reach Peak Performance

Napoli’s head coach, Walter Mazzarri, has acknowledged that Victor Osimhen requires more time to recapture his top form. Since returning from a hamstring injury, Osimhen has faced challenges in reaching his peak performance.

Struggling to make an impact in recent matches against Bologna, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan, the 24-year-old forward has faced setbacks. As Napoli prepares to face Juventus at the Allianz Arena in Turin this Friday, Mazzarri subtly indicated that Osimhen is still on the path to his best form.

“Osimhen obviously needs time to find his best form, also in terms of physical conformation,” expressed Mazzarri, as quoted on the club’s official website. “But it’s clear that even if he wasn’t at one hundred percent, he can still give me great guarantees for the strength he knows how to express, even for portions of matches like he has done so far after returning.”

Despite the challenges, Osimhen has managed to secure six goals in 10 league appearances for Napoli this season.

As the football world eagerly anticipates the upcoming clash, this insight into Osimhen’s journey back to top form adds a layer of intrigue to the narrative.
