‘Scoring goals not my duty’ – Doma United defender Abiam

Doma United defender, Nelson Abiam has said scoring goals is a bonus to him.
Abiam has enjoyed an impressive run of form since joining the Savannah Tigers at the start of the 2023-24 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season.
The former Nasarawa United defender has netted three goals this season.
Abiam’s impressive displays has helped Doma United to an eight-game unbeaten run in the NPFL.
He stated that his primary assignment is to defend the team from conceding goals.
“Scoring goals is a bonus, really,” he told NPFL troll.
“I focus on my defensive duties first.
“But whenever set-piece opportunities arise or there’s a chance to support our attack, I do my best to take advantage of it.”
