The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State has imposed a ban on its members from discussing the party’s internal conflicts on any media platform. The directive was conveyed in a letter signed by the state’s acting secretary of the party, Shuaibu Isah, dated November 24.

The letter, a result of resolutions reached during the party’s Working Committee meeting, prohibits the discussion of internal issues on any media platform. It emphasized that all problems at various levels should not be taken to the media and vowed to enforce disciplinary measures according to the party’s constitution for any member who contravenes the directive.

“I’m directed by Mr. Chairman-Alh. Aminu Musa Bobi to convey the above subject matter and to recall among the resolutions reached during the formal Working Committee meeting that all problems that may emanate from the LGA Executive Committees and members of All Progressives Congress (APC) at the local government level down to the wards should not in any way attempt to go on air to make any public broadcast either in radio, television or any means of public broadcasting.

“Meanwhile, all problems and conflicts shall henceforth be channeled through the party for reconciliation and resolution. Henceforth, anyone that fails to comply with the directives above shall be dealt with by the constitutions of our great party,” the letter read.

In its bid to maintain a united front, the APC in Niger State has prioritized internal conflict resolution through party structures, urging members to refrain from public dissemination of issues. The enforcement of this directive underscores the party’s commitment to internal harmony and discipline.

This prohibition on media discussions of internal conflicts within the party reflects the determination of the APC in Niger State to uphold internal cohesion while resolving disputes in a structured and cohesive manner.
