Justice Assured for Kaduna Drone Attack Victims, Says Sultan of Sokoto

Dr. Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto and President General of Jama’atu Nasrul Islam, JNI, has affirmed that the council is dedicated to seeking justice for the victims of the accidental drone attack in Kaduna State. Speaking at the annual JNI Central Council Conference in Minna on Monday, he also conveyed the Federal Government’s sincere apologies for the tragic incident.

“As devout Muslims, we accept these occurrences as the will of Allah. We are committed to pursuing justice for those affected. Our focus is on ensuring that justice prevails for all. As Muslims, we are deeply saddened by what transpired,” he stated.

The conference served as a platform to deliberate on global events impacting Muslims and Islam. Additionally, the Sultan urged the Federal Government to prioritize the rehabilitation of the deplorable Minna-Suleja and Minna-Bida roads.

Furthermore, he announced the commencement of the FULAKO Initiative, approved by the president, aimed at constructing houses, clinics, schools, and a veterinary hospital as a non-kinetic response to the challenges of banditry and kidnapping in the North.

The Fulako Initiative represents the president’s compassionate response to the impact of banditry in communities, with implementation planned for Zamfara, Kebbi, Katsina, Kaduna, Niger, and Benue. Governor Umaru Bago of Niger, in his welcome address, lauded JNI for its substantial contributions to Islamic education and missionary work since 1962.
