Tinubu Administration has the Power to Release Nnamdi Kanu, Says Abaribe

Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe of Abia South and former Minority Leader believes that President Bola Tinubu’s government has the capability to release Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in the interest of national unity.

Abaribe expressed disappointment at the Supreme Court’s decision to deny Kanu’s release, calling it unfortunate. In a statement released by his Media Adviser, Uchenna Awom, Abaribe emphasized the need for the current Federal Government to swiftly take action towards Kanu’s release, citing national cohesion and the unity of the country as compelling reasons.

“We, as leaders, will persist in our efforts to find the best possible solution given the circumstances,” Abaribe stated.

Abaribe also offered words of encouragement to the Igbo community, urging them not to lose hope in the face of what he termed “the regrettable outcome at the Supreme Court.”
