Dr. Babagana Zulum Lauded by Nigerian Medical Association for Advancing Health Sector in Borno State

The Nigeria Medical Association, NMA, accorded recognition to Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, for his significant contributions to the development of the health sector. The National President of NMA, Dr. Uche Ojinmah, commended Governor Zulum during a dinner/award ceremony marking the conclusion of the 2023 National Executive Council meeting in Abuja.

Dr. Ojinmah expressed admiration for Governor Zulum’s efforts in elevating the health sector in Borno State to a level where citizens are motivated to leverage the numerous advantages offered to address their health challenges.

Bukar Tijani, the state Secretary to the Government, represented Governor Zulum at the event. Dr. Ojinmah urged the governor to persist in his commendable efforts and not be swayed by detractors whom he referred to as enemies of progress.

In response, Governor Zulum conveyed his appreciation to the NMA for deeming him worthy of such a prestigious award. He expressed his belief that the recognition will serve as a catalyst for further advancements in the health sector.

“The NMA’s assessment, based on their observations, indicates that the governor has met the criteria by prioritizing the health sector, furnishing doctors across Borno with essential tools and equipment. This award affirms the continuation of our efforts to enhance the health sector,” remarked Governor Zulum. NAN
