In a significant announcement, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has declared an end to the era of religious and ethnic differences in the region. During the state Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Christmas Carol event themed “Celebrating the Prince of Peace,” Governor Sani reaffirmed his commitment to fostering unity and inclusivity in the state.

“I took an oath to be fair to everyone regardless of their religion or tribe,” Governor Sani declared. “We are one, whether Christian, Muslim, or from any tribe. I will ensure that every individual and every part of the state is included in the programs aimed at the overall development of Kaduna.”

The governor emphasized the importance of peace restoration across all parts of the state, articulating his dedication to equitable development. “Construction of roads should benefit all citizens, reaching every corner of the state,” he asserted. Furthermore, Governor Sani outlined his vision for the upcoming budget, emphasizing “Rural Transformation and Inclusive Development” as its focal point.
Acknowledging the prevailing poverty in the state, with approximately 75% of citizens living below the poverty line, Governor Sani underscored his commitment to leveraging religious and community leaders to implement impactful programs for the betterment of the populace.

Reverend John Joseph Hayab, the state CAN chairman, expressed profound appreciation for the governor’s presence at the Christmas Carol. He commended Governor Sani for readily accepting the invitation without bureaucratic hurdles, highlighting the potential for genuine healing and progress in the state.

“I firmly believe that the governor’s actions will significantly contribute to healing deep-seated wounds and usher in a new era of unity, peace, and development that the people have long yearned for,” Reverend Hayab remarked. He also emphasized the transformative power of communal solidarity, underscoring the adverse impact of religious and tribal divisions on the state’s welfare and security.

Governor Uba Sani’s pledge marks a pivotal juncture for Kaduna State, signifying a resolute push for unity and progress. As the state embarks on this transformational journey, his unwavering commitment to inclusivity and equitable development augurs well for a future where diversity is embraced, and peace prevails.
