Kaduna Pilgrims Agency Urges Swift Registration for 2024 Hajj

The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency is urging Muslim faithful intending to embark on the 2024 pilgrimage to expedite their registration process as the deadline of December 31st, 2023, fast approaches. Salihu S. Abubakar, the Executive Chairman, emphasized the importance of adhering to the stipulated deadline during a press briefing at the agency’s headquarters in Kaduna.

Highlighting the urgency of the situation, the agency’s Public Relations Officer, Yunusa M. Abdullahi, reiterated the Chairman’s call for prompt registration. Abubakar emphasized that all prospective pilgrims must deposit N4.5 million into the designated bank account of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency. He advised them to collect customized bank tellers from Registration Officers in the state’s 23 LGAs to facilitate payments, assuring that the registration process will remain open until December 31st, 2023.

The Chairman also stressed the necessity of remitting all collected fares to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) by January 5th, 2024, pursuant to new guidelines from the Saudi Arabian authorities. He assured prospective pilgrims of the agency’s unwavering commitment to ensuring a seamless and successful Hajj, pledging that the government-formed committee will implement improvements to enhance the overall Hajj operation and ensure value for the pilgrims’ investment.

In a bid to create awareness and encourage timely registration, Salihu S. Abubakar called upon Imams of Juma’at mosques, Muslim leaders, and media partners to support the agency’s efforts in sensitizing the Muslim community. Expressing gratitude to those who have already registered, he invoked divine blessings, hoping that all intending pilgrims would be granted the opportunity to partake in the blessings of Hajj.

With the deadline imminent, the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency’s call for increased registration serves as a vital reminder for Muslims preparing to embark on the sacred journey of Hajj in 2024.
