Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has initiated the renovation of the College of Health Sciences and Technology, Tsafe, underscoring the government’s dedication to revitalizing the state’s education sector. As part of the NG-CARES program, a statement from the governor’s senior special assistant on media and publicity, Suleiman Idris, outlined the commencement of the renovation project, which is funded by the World Bank.
Governor Lawal emphasized that the renovation of the college’s infrastructure marks the beginning of a series of similar initiatives slated for various institutions across the state. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to transparently utilizing the NG-CARES funds in adherence to World Bank protocols, aiming to enhance public institutions and create employment opportunities for the citizens.
“This milestone represents the commencement of numerous public works projects throughout the state. Our schools, hospitals, and rural roads are earmarked for renovation and rehabilitation, aligning with the stipulated requirements of the World Bank. Additionally, a significant portion of the grant will support cash transfers,” Governor Lawal stated.
Expressing confidence in the populace’s ability to leverage the scheme effectively, the governor underscored the state’s emphasis on industry, commerce, and trade, highlighting the government’s resolve to foster an enabling environment for economic activities.
