2023 AFCON: Super Eagles’ group opponent unveil final squad

Guinea-Bissau Reveals 25-Man Squad for 2023 AFCON Clash

Guinea-Bissau, set to square off against Nigeria in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, has unveiled its 25-man squad for the highly anticipated tournament. The team, led by head coach Baciro Cande, steers clear of local talents, opting for a squad comprising three goalkeepers, eight defenders, six midfielders, and eight forwards.

In what promises to be an electrifying tournament opener, Guinea-Bissau is slated to lock horns with hosts Cote d’Ivoire at the Alssanne Quattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan on January 13. Four days later, the Djurtus will face off against Equatorial Guinea at the same venue before crossing paths with the Super Eagles at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan on January 22.

The stage is thus set for an exhilarating showdown as the countdown to the 2023 AFCON edges ever closer.
