Governor Uba Sani recently inaugurated a series of transformative projects in Southern Kaduna, signaling a significant leap towards rural development and economic resurgence. One of the key endeavors includes the commencement of construction for the Vocational and Technology Skills Acquisition City in Samaru Kataf, designed to annually train 800 youths in various fields.
The governor emphasized the pivotal role of such initiatives in equipping the younger generation with globally competitive skills, thereby enhancing their employment prospects and fostering economic growth. Notably, this venture marks the second of its kind, with the first center located in Igabi Local Government Area to cater to Kaduna Central, thereby extending the tangible benefits of skill acquisition across different regions. The project signifies a concerted effort by the government to prioritize rural transformation and stimulate the rural economy.
In addition to the skills acquisition center, an array of infrastructural projects were unveiled including the construction of a 1km surface dressing with reinforced drainage and culvert at Zango township road, rehabilitation of vandalized transformers, upgrade of power supply lines, and installation of 2,000 solar street lights across the eight local government areas. These developments are poised to significantly enhance the local infrastructure and contribute to the overall wellbeing of the communities.
Furthermore, Governor Sani was honored with the traditional title of ‘Chat Atyap’ by the paramount ruler of Zangon-Kataf, the Agwatyap, Dominic Gambo-Yahaya, in recognition of his commitment to rural development and peace restoration. The commendation and support extended by local leaders serve as a testament to the positive impact and resonance of these initiatives within the region.
The transformative impact of these projects has also garnered acclaim beyond Southern Kaduna, with the Emir of Jema’a expressing admiration for the governor’s comprehensive transformation programs and affirming the emirate’s unwavering allegiance to Governor Sani’s administration.
