As Christmas approaches, the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) extends warm greetings to Christians across Nigeria and emphasizes the significance of the occasion. In a message aimed at fostering unity and peace, IPAC encourages Christians to embody the values of love, peace, unity, and tolerance, drawing inspiration from the life of Jesus Christ.

Christmas holds profound meaning for Christians worldwide, symbolizing the birth of Jesus Christ, whose mission was to redeem humanity from sin. Against this backdrop, IPAC calls on Nigerians to utilize this period to pray for the nation, particularly concerning the pressing security and economic challenges that have hindered progress and development.

Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, the National Chairman-elect of IPAC, emphasized the imperative for governments at all levels to prioritize the welfare of Nigerian citizens, aligning with the constitutional provision in Section 14 (2)b of the 1999 constitution, which mandates the government to prioritize the security and welfare of the people as its primary responsibility.

As the apex body representing all registered political parties in Nigeria, IPAC reaffirms its commitment to advancing and strengthening democratic ideals within the nation. The council asserts its dedication to promoting democracy, striving for a cohesive, fair, and prosperous democratic society for all Nigerians.

IPAC’s message serves as a poignant reminder to leaders and citizens alike, underscoring the collective responsibility to uphold the welfare and security of Nigerians. This call to action resonates beyond religious lines, transcending into the realm of good governance and societal well-being, as Nigeria navigates its path towards progress and prosperity.
