Umahi revealed that President Bola Tinubu has authorized a supplementary budget for 236 road projects identified for palliative intervention. This decision underscores the government’s concerted effort to address the pressing infrastructural needs related to road maintenance.

In his address, Umahi extended congratulations to the newly appointed board members and assured the public of an imminent transformative overhaul in the state of road infrastructure within the next two years. Furthermore, Chukwuemeka Agbasi, the Managing Director and CEO of FERMA, articulated a vision aimed at visibly enhancing road conditions, reducing operational costs, and fostering improved socio-economic circumstances for road users during his four-year tenure. Agbasi’s strategic goals signal a proactive approach towards prioritizing the welfare and safety of the public.
