PDP Governors Forum Extols Governor Seyi Makinde on His 56th Birthday

The People’s Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) has effusively praised Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State as he marks his 56th birthday.

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, who serves as the forum’s chairman, lauded Makinde’s leadership in a statement released by the forum’s Director-General, Cyril Maduabum, in Abuja on Monday.

Mohammed commended Makinde’s genuine and exemplary performance during his tenure as the Governor of Oyo State over the past four years. He highlighted the tangible impact of Makinde’s administration through significant projects in infrastructure, education, agriculture, healthcare, power generation, SME funding, security, and safety, which collectively form a comprehensive strategy for transformative change.

The chairman underscored the progress in the reorganized solid mineral sector, aviation sector upgrade, improved civil service welfare, transportation, culture, and tourism, road networking and urban renewal, trade and investment drive, as well as youth and women empowerment, citing these as evidence of the state’s remarkable economic advancement.

“Governor Makinde has made invaluable contributions to the growth of our forum and has exhibited a nationalistic approach to governance,” remarked Mohammed. The forum recognized Makinde’s role as vice chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and his contributions to the nation’s development, expressing heartfelt wishes for continued divine guidance in his service to the state.

The forum assured Makinde of unwavering support as he continues to steer the affairs of Oyo State.
