Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Umar Na’Abba, breathed his last in the early hours of Wednesday in Abuja, as reported by a family source to a DAILY NIGERIAN reporter. The seasoned lawmaker succumbed to a brief illness in an Abuja hospital at the age of 64.
Born on September 27, 1958, into the esteemed Na’Abba family in Tudun Wada, Kano City, Ghali Na’Abba’s political journey was marked by significant milestones. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Ahmadu Bello University in 1979. Na’Abba’s educational foundation was laid at Jakara Primary School in Kano, followed by his pursuit of the West African School Certificate at Rumfa College. Subsequently, he enrolled in the School of Preliminary Studies, Kano, before gaining admission to Ahmadu Bello University in 1976.
Notably, in 2004, he successfully completed a postgraduate program on Leadership and Good Governance at the prestigious Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University in the United States.
