Doma United’s Coach Onigbinde Points Finger at Officiating for Defeat to Sunshine Stars

Akinade Onigbinde, the head coach of Doma United, didn’t mince his words as he attributed his team’s recent 2-0 loss to Sunshine Stars to what he deemed as poor officiating. The disappointing defeat at the Ondo sports complex saw Isaac Emmanuel and Opeoluwa Olufemi secure the win for Sunshine Stars.

Expressing his frustration, Onigbinde called for stricter sanctions against officials who fail to execute their duties effectively. He emphasized, “I’m not really pleased with the officiating of our match against Sunshine Stars. The NRA needs to work harder on the officials that failed in the discharge of their duties.”

In addition to addressing the officiating, Onigbinde acknowledged the need for Doma United to address the identified shortcomings from the game to ensure improved performance in future fixtures.

Doma United, with 28 points from 16 matches, aims to rectify the situation and regroup for their upcoming games.
