Edo Command of Nigeria Correctional Service Celebrates Promotion of 120 Officers

The Nigeria Correctional Service, NCoS, recently honored 120 newly promoted officers at the Edo Command with various ranks, as part of its nationwide promotion exercise.

During the ceremony, Philomena Emehimola, the Comptroller of Correctional Service, Edo Command, emphasized the importance of the officers understanding that their promotion signifies a greater commitment to their duties. Emehimola urged the newly promoted officers to demonstrate their capabilities and dedicate themselves to their roles, highlighting that promotion comes with the responsibility of increased workload.

Emehimola also praised the efforts of the Comptroller General of NCoS, Halliru Nababa, for ensuring that officers from the Edo Command were recognized for their hard work and were part of the recent promotions. She expressed confidence that the promoted officers would fulfill their duties dutifully.

Among the promoted officers, Deputy Superintendent Ayemien Otasowie expressed joy and gratitude for the recognition, acknowledging the added responsibility that comes with the new rank. Otasowie humbly attributed the promotion to the will of God and felt honored to have been chosen for advancement.
