All Progressives Congress Dismisses PDP’s Claim of Delayed December Salary Payments

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has swiftly responded to recent criticism from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) regarding the purported delay in December salary payments to Federal Government workers. The APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, conveyed the party’s position, refuting the allegations and highlighting the administration’s commitment to workers’ welfare in contrast to the PDP’s governance.

Morka emphasized that President Bola Tinubu’s administration has exhibited heightened sensitivity and dedication to workers’ welfare within a short tenure, surpassing the PDP’s 16-year governance record. He dismissed the PDP’s assertion as feeble, asserting that every worker has been promptly remunerated as due, countering the claims of undermining economic wellbeing.

Additionally, the APC representative underscored the administration’s sustained efforts in fostering constructive dialogue and collaboration with organized labor to proactively prevent and address disputes. Morka also cited the implementation of various incentives and relief measures aimed at supporting workers.

The recent critique from the PDP, articulated by its National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, directed accusations at the Tinubu-led administration, accusing it of allegedly withholding December salaries of workers. The swift rebuttal from the APC showcases the intensifying political discourse surrounding workers’ welfare and economic management, with both parties striving to influence public perception.
