Kenya Revenue Authority Initiates Temporary Shutdown of iTax System for Maintenance

Nairobi, Kenya – In a bid to enhance user experience, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has revealed plans to temporarily close the iTax portal for essential maintenance.

The tax authority has communicated that the scheduled suspension is set to commence at 8 p.m. tonight and conclude at midnight. The temporary shutdown is anticipated to impact various services, including new PIN registrations, tax return filing, payment slip generation, and ledger account verifications.

In an official statement released on its X platform, KRA stated, “Kindly be advised of a scheduled iTax maintenance today from 8PM to Midnight. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.”

This temporary closure underscores KRA’s commitment to optimizing the iTax system’s functionality, ensuring seamless tax compliance, and streamlining administrative processes for taxpayers across Kenya.
