The embattled chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Adams, has adamantly dismissed his suspension, affirming his continued leadership within the party. He vehemently declared that his purported suspension is merely a politically motivated maneuver that lacks merit.

Adams’ suspension, executed by the State Working Committee (SWC) of the Ondo PDP, was justified on the grounds of alleged anti-party activities. However, the steadfast chairman refuted these allegations, attributing his suspension to ulterior motives aimed at influencing the upcoming Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency Bye-election in February.

In a resolute tone, Adams condemned the infiltration of the opposition party by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and highlighted the determination of certain individuals to undermine the democratic principles upon which the party stands. He firmly asserted, “This will not stand; we know what they are trying to do; their plans are to remove me so that they can execute their evil agenda for the Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency Bye-election, and we will not fall for that.”

The suspended chairman remained unwavering in his position, signaling potential discord within the Ondo State PDP. His defiance sets the stage for a contentious power struggle within the party, amplifying political tensions in the region.
