Nigeria Premier Football League Reschedules Key Matches for 2024

In a bid to streamline its schedule and ensure a fair competition, the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has officially announced new dates for two pivotal fixtures. According to the latest reports, the matchups featuring Plateau United versus Rivers United and Katsina United against Enyimba have been rescheduled.

This decision was communicated by the Chief Operating Officer of the NPFL, Davidson Owumi, through a memo addressed to all participating clubs. The revised dates indicate that the eagerly anticipated clash between Plateau United and Rivers United, originally slated for December 25, 2023, has been deferred to January 10, 2024. Similarly, the fixture involving Katsina United and Enyimba has been moved to January 17, 2024.

The league’s governing authority has emphasized the importance of meticulous planning, urging the respective clubs to make the necessary logistical arrangements to ensure the seamless execution of these rescheduled matches.

Furthermore, the NPFL has confirmed that the matchday 17 fixtures will be held on Saturday and Sunday at various league venues, underscoring its commitment to promoting the consistent and equitable progression of the championship.
