Rivers United Coach, Stanley Eguma, Expresses Interest in Super Eagles Coaching Job

Rivers United’s head coach, Stanley Eguma, has thrown his hat into the ring for the prestigious position of coaching the Super Eagles, Nigeria’s national football team. Eguma boldly asserted that he is well-qualified for the role and is eager to lead the team to glory.

The Super Eagles are currently under the guidance of Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro as they prepare for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. This highly anticipated tournament is scheduled to take place from January 13 to February 11, 2024, in Cote d’Ivoire.

During an interview with Brila FM, Eguma passionately expressed his readiness for the challenge, stating, “I will serve my fatherland. I will do my best. I will work above my capacity to see that we make Nigeria proud and achieve the desired results.”

Eguma possesses a wealth of experience, having managed Rivers United for over a decade. His remarkable leadership has seen the club secure two league titles, in 2011 and 2022, cementing his reputation as a formidable tactician.

With Eguma’s steadfast determination and proven track record, his aspirations to take on the role of Super Eagles head coach undoubtedly add an intriguing dimension to Nigeria’s football landscape.
