Gruesome Altercation Leaves Man Without Ear in Lagos

The Lagos State Police have apprehended an individual suspected of severing the ear of a companion. Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Command, verified the arrest on Wednesday and disclosed that the altercation transpired at approximately 6:00 a.m. on Monday in the Abattoir vicinity of Agege, Lagos.

The unsettling episode unraveled when Abdulahi Adulmalik, a resident of Abattoir Market, lodged a report with the Abattoir Police Division. Adulmalik recounted that at 4:00 a.m. on the same day, Bashiru Ahmed, also a denizen of Abattoir Market, utilized a knife to dismember Adulmalik’s right ear following a dispute stemming from a previous altercation in 2023.

Subsequently, the victim was promptly conveyed to a medical facility for urgent medical attention, where he currently remains under care. Hundeyin elucidated that the purported culprit is currently in custody to facilitate a comprehensive interrogation into the distressing occurrence.
