Alade reflected on her early aspirations, admitting that she never envisioned herself solely dedicated to music. “It [music] was always a passion and I was hoping to see where it would take me,” she revealed. She emphasized that, years ago, she did not perceive music as a viable career path, stating, “If you had asked me 11/12 years ago if I wanted to be a musician, I would not pick that as a career choice. I still wouldn’t do it.”
The “Johnny” hitmaker elaborated on her mindset, acknowledging that while she was deeply invested in music as a significant hobby, she resisted the idea of it becoming her primary profession. Alade expressed her initial intention to pursue academics as her parents desired and attain employment, remaining uncertain about a full dedication to music.
