Rangers’ striker, Godwin Obaje, is overjoyed with his two-goal performance against Gombe United, attributing his success to the collective effort of his team.
The seasoned forward scored both goals during the first half of the Flying Antelopes’ 4-1 victory over the Savannah Scorpions in Enugu. Chidiebere Nwobodo and Kenechukwu Agu also contributed one goal each during the game, while Gombe United’s Wasiu Alalade netted a consolation goal for the visitors.
In an interview with the club’s media, Obaje expressed the significance of the win, especially the impressive 4-1 comeback. He conveyed his gratitude to his teammates, dedicating his two goals to their contribution, stating, “The victory was significant for us, especially coming from behind to win 4-1. I thank God for the victory and my two goals which I dedicate to my teammates who made it possible.”
Following his stellar performance, Obaje’s goal tally has now increased to five.
