Gombe United’s Head Coach Blames Fatigue for Defeat to Rangers

In a post-match interview, Gombe United’s head coach, Alhaji Kwairanga, attributed his team’s defeat to Rangers to fatigue, pointing out that the team arrived in Enugu on the same day as the game. Kwairanga expressed that the late arrival affected the team’s performance, leading to their loss.

This revelation comes after Gombe United faced a similarly challenging situation during their match against Kwara United in Ilorin, arriving on the day of the fixture as well.

As a result of this defeat, Gombe United currently holds the 14th position on the table. Looking ahead, Mohammed Babaganaru’s side is preparing to face Bayelsa United in a week 19 fixture at the Pantami Stadium.
