Super Eagles’ Key Players Shine in AFCON 2023 Training

The Super Eagles’ training session ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations has witnessed the commendable display of two prominent players. Kelechi Iheanacho and Terem Moffi, despite their late arrival, showcased their readiness for the tournament during the training at the Ecole Nationale de la Police, Abidjan.

Iheanacho, initially a concern due to a muscle injury while with Leicester City, appeared to have made a full recovery, dispelling doubts about his fitness for the AFCON 2023. Additionally, vice-captain William Troost-Ekong and winger Moses Simon provided leadership by addressing the team before the training commenced.

Meanwhile, Moffi, who joined the team’s base at the Pullman Hotel recently, demonstrated his eagerness for action with an energetic performance during the training session.

The Super Eagles are intensifying their preparations for the upcoming Group B fixture against the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire. They are set to have a closed-door training session on Tuesday to further gear up for the challenge on Thursday.

The diligent performance of these players in training underscores the team’s determination to make an impact in the AFCON 2023, as they target success in the highly anticipated tournament.
