Nollywood Star Aisha Lawal Escapes Ibadan Explosion, Witnesses Chaos

On a fateful night in Ibadan, Nollywood actress Aisha Lawal found herself at the epicenter of chaos and destruction. As an explosion ripped through Dejo Oyelese Close in the Bodija Housing Estate, Lawal narrowly escaped a brush with death.

Recounting the harrowing encounter, Lawal shared her disbelief at the deafening impact of the explosion that still echoed in her ears. She revealed that she had initially parked her car near the estate to buy suya, the popular grilled meat, but through a stroke of luck, relocated her vehicle just moments before the calamity unfolded.

“Alhamdulilah for today,” Lawal expressed on social media. “I was at Bodija when the explosion took place, in fact, my ears are still ringing from the effect. Thank God for our lives. I parked to buy suya opposite that Estate but later I moved my car from Sloggers Club to the Metro Hotel on the same Osuntokun when it happened. God have mercy oo. Too many dead bodies. What exactly is going on?”

The actress’s gut-wrenching account sheds light on the utter devastation wrought by the explosion, underscoring the pervasive sense of disbelief and despair that reverberates throughout the community.
