Ian Wright, a former Arsenal player, has expressed his concerns about the deteriorating performance of Manchester United players under the management of Erik ten Hag. Following a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United currently holds the 7th position in the Premier League, trailing eight points behind Arsenal in 4th place.

In an interview with Premier League Productions, Wright highlighted his apprehensions about the lack of improvement in the players’ performance under Ten Hag. He pointed out that unlike other teams such as Aston Villa and Tottenham, where players have shown significant improvement under new managers, the situation at Manchester United seems to be the opposite.

Wright emphasized, “None of the players since he’s been there have improved. You can look at [Aston] Villa players, he [Unai Emery] came after Stevie [Gerrard]. Look at the Tottenham players after [Antonio] Conte, these players have improved with the coaching they are getting. Man United players are not improving. In actual fact they are getting worse.”

The concerns raised by Wright shed light on the potential issues within the club and raise questions about the effectiveness of the coaching and management strategies at Manchester United. These insights add another layer of scrutiny to the current state of affairs at one of the most renowned football clubs in the world.
